Skagen Sandblæseri & Skibsservice:

Upgrading your business

Skagen Sandblæseri & Skibsservice (SSB) was established in 1984 with a keen focus on the marine industry. Today we handle maintenance and repairs of both bridges, power plants, steel components for wind turbine and wind turbine rotor blades.

Skagen Sandblæseri & Skibsservice is a family owned business founded by Ole Conradsen in Skagen, Denmark. In 1988, we moved the head office 40 km south to Frederikshavn, where the company entered into cooperation with Ørskov Stålskibsværft A/S, and that is still where you’ll find us. The name Skagen has been around for all the years, and today it is a reminder of where it all started.

Close to our customers

In recent years, several departments in different cities have emerged to serve our customers close to their immediate area and within different business areas, though still in the area of surface treatment and maintenance.

Especially orders in the wind industry have increased. Our areas of work have expanded to include repair and retrofit campaigns for rotor blades, both in factory environments and on site.

Mobility in surface treatment
SSB has developed a patented mobile factory in order to offer surface treatment of blades and surface touch-up of nacelles and hubs at any location. In a clean environment with ventilation system and full scale production halls, SSB is able to establish a full scope production from day one. We can even provide experienced workforce as a longterm partnership and local employees will be trained by experienced SSB operators based on an on-the-job training principle.

Very experienced employees
Skagen Sandblæseri & Skibsservice employs over 200 employees in our departments in Nakskov and Aalborg. We also provide skilled employees to take care of projects such as renovation of bridges, power plants and high storage tanks in our mobile division.
